Fine wine from Toscane Italy
The central Italian area of Tuscany is often regarded as a prime winemaking location. Notable wines from the region include the Sangiovese-based Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (produced from the Prugnolo Gentile grape) and the white Vernaccia di San Gimignano are also produced in the region.
