Fine wine from Dao Portugal
Dao, a central Portuguese wine area, is renowned for its many excellent red and white wines. Dao Tinto, a red wine, is a mix of grape varietals such Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Jaen. Encruzado, a white wine, is derived from the Encruzado vine.
Dao Tinto, a red wine made from a variety of grapes, has a ruby red hue with an aroma of luscious red fruit and spice; it goes particularly well with hearty meats and aged cheeses. Aged for at least a year before release, this wine is often regarded as among Dao's finest.
Wines like Encruzado, which are straw yellow in color and have a flowery scent and fruity flavor, are excellent companions to seafood and light meats. It's widely regarded as one of Dao's finest white wines.
Famous wines like Baga and Jaen are produced in Dao; they're both reds with a rich aroma of juicy red fruit and spice and go well with hearty fare like red meat and aged cheese.
Dao also produces the award-winning red wine Alfrocheiro and the equally acclaimed white wine Cercial.
