Wines from Limburg the Netherlands
Limburg is a province in the southeastern part of the Netherlands, and it is known for its production of white wines made from the Müller-Thurgau grape variety. These wines tend to have a fruity, floral aroma and a crisp, refreshing taste. They are often served as an aperitif or with light dishes such as seafood or salads.
In addition to Müller-Thurgau, other grape varieties that are grown in Limburg include Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris. These grapes are used to produce a range of white wines, including still wines, sparkling wines, and dessert wines.
Limburg is also home to a number of wineries and wine estates, many of which offer tastings and tours for visitors. Some of the notable wineries in the region include Wijngoed de Kleine Schorre, Wijngoed Zuid-Limburg, and Wijngoed Duisterhof.
